LET’S GIVE LOS ANGELES A CHANCE TO SURVIVE A CHANCE TO RE-ENERGIZE AND A CHANCE TO REBUILD THE TRUST IT HAS LONG LOST.

As an immigrant Augusto Bisani was raised and educated in his birth country of Italy, born in Rome during World War II. He grew up in the mist of that conflict’s final years. To grow up as a child in a city where the streets were empty and noiseless except for the few children that like him were in the streets passing sometime and playing together with whatever was available, and listening every day the noise of tanks going up and down the streets of his neighborhood without knowing why, seeing lines of people trying to get a donated bowl of soup for lunch, it was something that left a mark in his mind (thank God his family never had to experience that). To find out later that the country was in a war and that the tanks were actually American tanks and that they were friends. Left an indelible mark in his mind. He still to this day he remembers the American soldiers throwing bubble gum and chocolate to the children. One of those soldiers (of Italian descent), eventually fell in love with one of his father sisters and were married in Italy after the war.

He was blessed with a very loving family, a family that lived together with some other relatives for several years in the same apartment.

America became his dream, and with it, everything that was a symbol of America. His journey to the land of his dream came later in life. After serving his country in the Air Force, he lived briefly in different countries such as England, Portugal and Brazil he finally immigrated legally to the United States of America in 1968 and Naturalized as an American Citizen in 1978. He speaks fluent Italian, English, and able to communicate in Spanish and Portuguese as well.

Lived in New Jersey and New York worked for Alitalia Airlines for  almost thirteen years holding several position. He was happily transferred to Los Angeles as Area Sales Manager. He says I am the symbol of the true American Dream  in the country of opportunity. I am like so many other Angelenos an immigrant who built a new life from nothing I came into this Country with $ 279.00 and a one way ticket. I have built two companies that today enjoy national recognition as leaders in the restaurant/commercial food industry.  I am a Father of triplet boys and a Grandfather of six.

We must be realistic and stay focused in what we can really achieve in a relative amount of time 

What I am bringing to the table is a traveled life experience 15 to 25 years more of any of the other Candidates, a life of struggle, a life of work and success, a life of family difficulties and happiness, like very many of us but reinforced by an incredible energy, tenacity, fresh ideas for our present welfare and our future one, all of us must be part of the process as you are the strength behind my strength. The issues are many and hopefully we will resolve all of them in time, but together. Be real there is no easy fix, if you believe that there is!  You are not obviously paying attention. No one has a magic wand.

We are the stake holders of this district in  the valley and we deserve better from The City of Los Angeles elected officials.

The owner has been waiting 2 1/2 yrs. for the city to fix this!

I have lived in Valley Village for 20 years and own a specialty equipment business in North Hollywood. Needless to say, I’ve seen many changes over the years. As you well know many have lost their jobs, and have difficulty in finding a new one. We are facing daily uncertainties. Radical changes are needed, our local government instead of supporting and easing financial tensions, and offer TRANSPARENCY and HONESTY always finds a way to legally take advantage, and nickel and dime our citizens.

IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?

The city simply doesn’t get it, it is not working…just look around you.

Open your eyes and take a hard look at your city, your parks, your sidewalks, your business, your empty storefronts and your transportation systems. I am asking YOU.

IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?

Our Streets are filthy, our communities broken and our children!

Have no where to play that is safe or clean. Our public schools are a disgrace to education, they more and more look like prisons. Why would a child want to go in such environment. I am asking YOU.

IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?

We have a sense of compassion for anyone in need, but our children should not be forgotten…leaving them without a neighborhood, and without a childhood. To take money is one thing…to steal a childhood is criminal.

Our compassion should extend beyond the obvious…we should be caring for our mentally ill, our homeless and elders but most importantly caring for our children…which are the future of this city…who may also some day, become mentally ill, and homeless, only without having had a childhood first.

IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?

We must be GREEN but what does it mean? Does it mean change your bulbs with energy efficient ones, so that the average family can save 50 dollars a year, or does it mean change the power supply so that the average family can save 600 dollars a year. Now that is something to think about. Does it mean not using anymore wood to frame houses so that the forests of the world don’t get depleted and let them help nature to keep it’s balance! How about using aluminum framing, there is plenty of it, and it doesn’t  burn or attract termites. This is what I am talking about.

IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?

Bringing Solar Lights to Dark Corners of our City… Deters crime. Again

the City doesn’t have to pay…just give property owners TAX CREDITS! In the end. THE CITY WINS.

We should retake control of our very lives, our schools and our children future, so that Parents can Parent.

Programs designed with good intention have become inquisitions.

All schools should have a crossing guard and a flashing light at crosswalks.

IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?

I will never sell you out to a special interest.

NEVER. And that is not just a promise is my way of life period.

I will bring Transparency and Honesty to the chair that you elected me to be on.

I will never betray your trust, the trust that bonds us together.

Quality of life in our neighborhoods is a top priority in my tenure

It is time for change…It is time for a new direction, a realistic vision of the future. We cannot live in the past but we can live with the past and look forward into the future. I am the one that can do this, but I can’t do it without you…and your support especially with individuals that have special interests behind them. The issues are many to entertain in such short message. You have to help me beat the STATUS QUO of our current City Council, which is like a tooth decay progressing rapidly to the roots and we must stopped before is to late. HOW? By exercising the greatest power that you have. YOUR VOTE….. YOU WANT CHANGE,

YOU MUST VOTE….. ON SEPTEMBER 22^ND AND MAKE ME YOUR CHOICE and

EMPOWER ME TO REPRESENT YOU…..SO THAT I CAN DO WHAT IS BEST FOR OUR COMMUNITY……TELL TO THOSE THAT ARE IN THE SPECIAL INTEREST POCKETS. TIME IS UP!

In closing, on the question of EXPERIENCE, I will respond with a quote from CORAZON AQUINO former president of the Philippines…

When ridiculed by the former dictator Ferdinand Marcos for her lack of EXPERIENCE, she replied: It’s true. I have no EXPERIENCE in Lying, Cheating and Stealing. I OFFER YOU HONESTY AND SINCERITY IN LEADERSHIP.
